    The Priesthood

Bell, vow, lantern. Three things they bring into the dark.

The Priesthood of the Basilica is the body charged with carrying the Psalm into every kingdom that will receive it and every kingdom that will not. They serve at altars, at deathbeds, at thresholds, and at the failing chapels where the veil thins.

A priest of the Most High is not measured by what he proclaims but by what he refuses to abandon. The order's oldest discipline is the discipline of staying.

When the bells fall silent, the Priesthood becomes the bell.

When the bells fall silent, we become the bell.
