Annwyn
Where the bells remember their office.
✠
Annwyn is the bell-city raised about the Basilica's eastern aisle, where the great bronze tongues of the Order were first hung. Its towers are old enough that no living mason can name their builders.
The bells of Annwyn do not ring the hour. They ring the office — the moment a vow is taken, the moment a soul departs, the moment the veil thins enough to require a witness. Their silence is graver news than their voice.
When the bells of Annwyn ring uncertain, the wise stop speaking and listen.
“The bells of Annwyn ring uncertain.”
