The Silence of the Most High is the discipline by which the Basilica accounts for the apparent absence of divine speech in the present age. The doctrine holds that the silence is not abandonment. It is vigilance.
What was spoken at the founding has not been retracted. The Most High waits for it to be remembered, lived, and answered. To accuse Him of absence is to confess that one has not yet listened with sufficient stillness.
